Pros

They will hire basically anyone, and there are always part-time jobs available. And the pre-employment drug-test is a cheek swab, so it's super easy to pass.

Cons

You probably won't want to stick with it for a long time. It's very difficult to get into a full-time situation there. And they pretty much treat people like crap because... they can and do continue to get away with it.

Pros

The benefits and discounts offered were easily above average, the fact that you can save on Kroger groceries was very useful. Pay only scales accordingly in FOD departments.

Cons

Over a decade working for Fred Meyer. Demoralizing lack of standards and procedures, or following policy. Grossly under staffed in most departments but FOD along with extremely limited resources to assist customers properly. General neglect for basic store functions and show-boating by upper management. Hostile red leadership by untrained and undisciplined management.

the company provide a good health benefit, and most people are pretty nice. there is good employee discounts for all departments, (the apparel discount is best overall).

Cons

There is not much of career grow or job promotions. there is a lot of difference rules between management and pic.
