Company truly wants their employees to succeed and be satisfied which will allow them to provide outstanding service to the guests. Lots of motivation to empower the staff. Opportunities throughout the year to provide feedback.
Cons
You must fit exactly into a pre-determined path for advancement. If you want something different or an alternative there is no option so there are some great people with talent who perhaps have decided F&B or Housekeeping, etc are no longer the right fit for them and there is nowhere else to go which usually means they resign. Upper management at the property level is either unconcerned or oblivious to this challenge. Some departments turn their entire staff every few years but the GM does nothing. Also some leaders at high management have no people skills but are continually promoted. They are successful because of their staff but they often cause turnover or discontentment but are not held accountable.
