F&B Deptartment in Disarray

Business Outlook

Pros

- Support for growth opportunities - Free nights at other properties - Generous PTO structure

Cons

- The F&B department was in such disarray when I was employed there. I understand it is hard to find good talent in remote areas, but I was blown away by how poor my experience was. - Extremely expensive cost for employee housing: $900 per month to share a tiny hotel room or $1,850 for your own tiny hotel room - Paid time off doesn't include average of tips like similar competitors

Pros

Beautiful properties and sincere efforts to provide excellent service and experience to guests.

Cons

Inconsistent culture depending on the property. Some have Mr. Sharpe’s “Golden Rule” while others are toxic. Work/life balance is nonexistent. Stability not an option as expected to relocate every two to three years.
