      Pros

      - Great colleagues - Good tech stack - Good remote work culture

      Cons

      - Feel like it is collapsing, several rounds of layoff in a year. - Many skilled people are now gone - Aggressive cost cutting from a company that used to throw away money - Benefits gotten downgraded since I was hired (most company meetup trips stopped, udemy was replaced by a tool that didn't have much content)

      Pros

      - engineering - I had the privilege to work with many talented tech people across many teams. Unfortunately, this talent is not valued, not in terms of compensation, nor in appreciation. - interesting challenges in fintech space - all the pros that made this company great are gone

      Cons

      - leadership is disjoined from reality - CTO is invisible and technical leadership was visible for years - leadership cracking up jokes right before laying off 100 people - tells you everything you need to know how much care and empathy there is - constant unrealistic deadlines that end up being postponed anyway, but a tremendous amount of overhead "managing" all those deadlines - neverending and ever-increasing bureaucracy - 0 trust in leadership. You can feel this by talking to regular employees

      - Good engineering practices and culture - Ambitious projects, like having a multi-cloud platform that runs across many AWS, GCP and Azure. - Most of the engineers combine great technical and communication skills

      Cons

      - New CEO demotivates people, e.g. by joining a meeting while being on vacation, just to correlate company's bad financial results to the performance of people - Bad business plan, spent tons of money on building multi-cloud platform and US payment gateways, and still almost zero revenue after several years - Bad financial outlook, more layoffs on the horizon. In the last round they fired competent and loyal people that were in the company from its first years
