--Ancient software systems
--They weren't rewritten because they can't hire good developers for the following reasons
-- Nobody that understands software development decides to stay here because people work here like its a government job. Zero ambition and love for the job they do because management crushes out of them.
-- I have seen 3 people quit because of the crappy working conditions such as development language, how we get clearance and how we release builds.
These things have been going on for nearly a decade or so. So management is beyond atrocious. If you are a software developer and decide to take a job here. Only do so knowing these and you won't learn anything new or complex. There is nothing complex or valuable knowledge to be gained while working for Ford Otosan. This place is not salvageable in any shape or form.
I have been working here for the past 12 months and I saw more than a couple (at the time of writing 10 devs) quit because of horrible management. These people have shown zero acknowledgment of losing these great devs. (Some of the times these devs brought here under false pretenses, saying we use newer tech and just outright being lied because nobody wants to work here)
For the folks reading this. I have worked in a variety of places that had the legacy tech and they were swapped out after 2010's. Ford Otosan is living in the past so much that in 2018, they are still fine with using tech from 2000's!
TL DR: Do not come here if you are passionate about your job or you want to improve yourself. It's a burning dumpster fire.
