Pros

Company pays well and has a fantastic set of perks for employees. Remote first focus is a big help as well.

Cons

Frequent rounds of restructures and layoffs impacting UK&I teams especially. This is leading to a bit of a culture change throughout the teams.

Pros

- Benefits are really competitive - People are great - Salary

Cons

As an heritage SBG employee, I've slowly watched this organisation lose its heart, its creativity and now with the redundancies, a lot of SBG-employed Tech and Product people will have to leave also. There's been just a lot of poor planning and short-termist decisions made over the last 12-18 months. You've asked people to build the future and then moments before it's complete, told them to exit stage left, mere months after a previous round of redundancies. I believe they're probably gearing up to eventually offshore all tech and product to Cluj, Porto or wherever else the labour is cheaper. Given I have zero clue what innovation and opportunities for growth looks like when all the underpinning brands more or less have the same website or app, it feels like more meaningful work can only happen external to the business. Ordinarily, I would recommend flutter, but I think the changes right now means it's probably too tumultuous to properly enjoy.
