Pros

Compensation is nice Colleagues can be helpful

Cons

HR is extremely incompetent handling project transitions. I didn't receive one word from HR about next steps, phone calls and e-mails ignored, etc. Just downright piss poor indeed, Work can be bountiful, if you're willing to travel for it. That and if it's available. If not, you're facing the unemployment line. I don't understand how a company that is so profitable can not compensate employees a base salary until they can be placed on a project. Likewise, if you weren't hired with an on-site company, forget any chances of finding new work.

Fluor Ltd - a good place to work

Pros

Friendly and open working environment. New campus with better access to London trains (Farnborough) and better facilities. Work style allows process engineers to be part of a complete project (from conceptual to commissioning) (No process/systems break). Growing opportunities for UK site experience.

Cons

Extreme lack of work in recent months. Still developing UK markets after years of reliance on international projects. Top heavy process department, so little promotion prospects in short term unless work picks up or work divided up differently.
