Flowserve IT

Pros

They have a good staff of analysts and managers for the most part. They are well funded and good equipment is provided.

Cons

From the IT directors on up, there seems to be a complete absence of anyone who really understands IT. All are MBAs without any CS or IT background. They are ineffective and have no real authority. The GMs ate the factories are allowed to dictate what applications to use. There is no real guiding plan to get the factories on a common system. It is a mess and there is no one willing to lead.

Good compensation level, nice people to work for and with, lots of time off flexibility, free week off between Xmas and New Years

Cons

There appears to be a focus on strong operations, conservative cash management and careful expansion, possibly at the expense of key strategic opportunities

Very good with taking time off when needed. Good pay for the location. Nice people to work with and work for.

Cons

Not much room to move up. Pay not as good as it should be. Pay needs to reflect ability and knowledge.
