You don't want to work in corporate; facilities are great

Pros

Good bonus structure and decent base pay, great people to work with at individual contributor level. Some managers were great.

Cons

Bad senior management, too much focus on share price, too many hours and phone calls at home. I have no problem taking a call after hours, but three times on a Sunday for something that is not due until the following Friday is ridiculous. Having to call security to turn the lights back on because you are in the office past 11:00 p.m. is ridiculous. Working until 4:00 a.m. then coming back at 7:00 a.m. three days in a row is ridiculous. I say "ridiculous" because all projects could have been accomplished in a 9-5 work day.

get to deal with all round aspects of the business (wearing a lot of hats at the same time), develops a lot of confidence to work in tight situations, experience is valued, get to learn a lot real quick. work here for a first 2-3 years. work hard, learn and then move to a higher pay.

Cons

salary is average, growth opportunities limited and demand a lot to advance a little, run a very lean operation, too much work stress and capital projects take long time to approve, micro management.
