No growth or real opportunities. No cohesion or sense of camaraderie.

Pros

Easy 9-5 job. Flexibility. Good amount of paid days off.

Cons

Poor office culture with no real sense of team. If you like working alone and not talking all day, Fitch is for you. Absolutely no collaboration. The work is mundane and repetitive. Narrow range of experiences and opportunities. If you're looking to grow your career and leverage/lateral your way elsewhere, do not come to Fitch. There is no real training platform - of course there are online videos, but those can only get you so far. The rest is thrown at you while on the job. You spend half the day not doing any real analysis and more administrative/regulatory tasks. It takes forever to get promoted. Analyst's at other financial firms make more than associate directors (takes an analyst at Fitch 3-5 years to get promoted to AD). Finally, the pay is very low compared to industry average.
