Pros

Paid on time Parking not much of a hassle Closer to home than driving to Argentina

Cons

Company lied about working from home policy. Worked 68 billable hours up to late Wednesday night of Thanksgiving week putting in a high priority job, then made me use 8 hours of PTO for Friday after Thanksgiving day. All but demolished the original bonus plan. The company once had a strong visionary presence in the technology arena. After being bought and sold too many times, and placed into the hands of people that have no clue how to run a technology firm, it isn't the place for engineers. Imagine if a group of Wall-street types purchased a hospital and tried to run it themselves. That's FiServ. Only, it's the Wall street types trying to run a tech business. They only understand and obey money. Anything else is irrelevant. This is why over the last 4 years, FiServ's ranks have been almost completely drained of all their top senior technical staff. They've been losing people almost faster than they can bring them in. Poor people skills in management - just short of being openly hostile to work / life balance. If you're not part of the oligarchy, then you're proletariat and subject to much disdain and public contrasting in corporate emails, meetings and hallway conversations. It's class-consciousness at its worst. If only they knew how foolish they look.

Pros

I have been here five years now. It has gotten better with each passing year. This is a great place to work, and they promote work/life balance. Management is very fair, and you are permitted to develop and cultivate your personal career goals. You can succeed here as an individual contributor. Opportunities abound. There is no shortage of financial web and mobile project work. Benefits are good and the stock is doing well. For sure, I am staying!

Cons

The products use complex technology and it can take a quite a while to learn.
