Pros

Great team, work/life balance is great , the product itself is quite interesting , morning team, good process.

Cons

The manager trying to motivate you gave a lot of promises about promotion. He even told me that everything was already alright and the only thing left to sort out was the HR paperwork . I was even given the week when it was going to happen. After couple of 1on 1 catch ups I just realized that he thinks I am just stupid idiot and would believe him forever. To be honest I felt as I’d been scammed. Lying when looking at a face is not probably the best type of motivation. Try increasing the salary by 30% annually, that will work for sure

Pros

Mostly stable employment, as long as you're able to stay off the 'hit list' each time they do a reorg. They've had quite a few in last 10 years. Generally speaking you have some freedom with how you do your job, as long your work fits into the overall project reasonably well. 4 stars if you're mostly fine with your position, salary and living within a bureaucracy , 3 stars if you're easily frustrated by the usual corporate BS.

Cons

Seem pretty clueless sometimes when they reduce head count and don't seem to consider long-term adverse impact with their overly lean staffing policies. Little thought given to bringing up younger talent while the old guys are still around, first approach is to mentor people from India, many of whom jump ship in about 3 years. Little time for both internal and external training and career development. Raises rarely anything close to 2% a year so negotiate well on your way in.
