Pros

Good coworkers. Alot of talent within the company. From my experience I find Fiserv to be quite fair from both a career opportunity and compenstaion standpoint. At the cutting edge of technology. Opportunity to work with many people and many other business across a multiple areas of expertise. Company is stable at a time where many companies are not.

Cons

Very large company. It is sometimes difficult to navigate through the large infrastructure to engage external resources. The entire economy is having a difficult time right now, so some folks need to take that into consideration when referring to management decisions.

Pros

This a post-mortem review since they have recently been acquired by a larger player in the industry. They had been an employer, though misguided about how to guide and promote an associate, treated you with some fairness in work/life balance and salary. I say this with some reserve since it depended on your department.

Cons

Once again, post-mortem. Since the acquisition by a larger player the company is pretty much a shell of its former self. Most senior management has either been forced out or left at this point. The new company behaves like most take-over operations and has given remaining associates the rough side of the hand. If you work in the former HQ of CheckFree expect to see further reductions in head-count and to be marginalized if you are not key to management goals. More technical positions look to be the direction for this company. But beware due to the fact the new owner is known for outsourcing everything but the kitchen sink. Your lifespan may be short.

Pros

Challenging and interesting projects. There are opportunities for employees to take leadership and ownership in their respective disciplines

Cons

Difficulty working with other Fiserv business lines. There isn't a lot of sharing between business lines. Human Resources are making all of the decisions. There are no career advancement opportunities, and when these arise, roadblocks are put up to keep people from moving. There are very few training opportunities. Exceptional performance is not recognized. Benefits are laughable, especially medical insurance. Good people leave and there isn't any effort on the part of management to keep them.
