Pros

People you work directly with Work/Home balance

Cons

Everything not mentioned in the "pros" I left Fiserv on my own so I am not writing this out of spite. I had a good position, a great team, and an amazing manager. I was there almost 10 years and planned to retire with Fiserv. I could not take any longer how horrible the work environment had become after the many RIF's and then to watch Fiserv allow outstanding, knowledgeable people to just walk away. Good luck starting as a new person, because it will be a rare occurrence that you have a knowledgeable mentor.

Pros

1. Flexible with your schedule if you have kids, appointments, etc. 2. Great PTO package. 3. There are SOME opportunities for advancement depending on where you're located.

Cons

1. Terrible insurance. I know a lot of places are going towards bad insurance now-a-days, but this is a high deductible plan and it's worthless. 2. Not remote friendly. They are currently doing hybrid as of late 2022.... but the CEO wants everyone in office. It will go back to this i'm sure. 3. Management is hired based on buddy status, not experience. I had terrible management the entire time I was employed. They pick their favorites and if you are not included, good luck. 4. Training plans are non-existent. It's honestly up to your coworkers to make sure you succeed and they are not getting paid enough to care. 5. If you are in certain offices, good luck moving up in the company. Advancement is not available for everyone since they built their fancy Berkley Heights office. 6. Motto is "One Fiserv" - ya right. This doesn't exist. Don't believe it. 7. If you work here expect overtime with not compensation as you are salaried. If you fight having to take the time, they will not hesitate to force the overtime. You can sometimes get "comp" time, but they even cut back on this. 8. Working hard doesn't get you anywhere. The one's who are rewarded are the buddies of the managers. I saw so many people move up who did not put the work in. Do what you need to do for the job and you'll be fine. 9. Pay is not equal across positions/genders. I was hired at the same time as a coworker. Same experience, education duration, etc. They were hired on for more pay than I was. There is no reason for this! I had even been at the company a year longer than this person. Just be prepared to find out your coworkers, incoming employees will make more than you for the same work. Lastly... LOW WAGE. Their wage is not low to some, but for the field of work it's terrible. Go elsewhere... run, run away and never look back!
