Interesting company in Flavors and Fragrance Business

Interesting company in the Flavors and Fragrance business that you have never heard of that may touch your life every day. Us is largest outfit outside Geneva.

Cons

Privately held company with HQ in Geneva. All decision top down with no inclusion Little career opportunities for growth and development for the future outside Geneva except for a chosen few. In US once you reach 5 years and are vested in the pension they look to get rid of you and replace with the next fellow. The HR group is a little fiefdom started by the VP who also once he joined fired the former staff. the company was better when the department heads ran the business.

Firmenich has a very good compensation program between salaries, bonuses agains personal objectives and a bonus program for all employees based on company performance compared to same quarter one year prior

Cons

Management not organized well and objectives not in line with one another. Sometimes very short sighted. Strategies not shared "down the line"
