      Pros

      Management is very professional, there are a lot of really good people working here. Pay and benefits are excellent and providing the economy is strong the potential for an annual bonus is very good. Progressive on management techniques.

      Cons

      Putting in long hours to help the branch succeed. The company has a great legacy but it's direction in recent years has been too heavily weighted by an accounting type approach. example; have the central computer collect and mange everything imaginable.

      Pros

      Staff work well together. Wages ok but less than average. Supplied a work uniform and shoes. They did have a coffee machine and a microwave and fridge.

      Cons

      High up management / director decisions dreadful. Some investments made to improve the main business went ahead even when warned by experienced staff that they can not work. Customers went made and took it out on Finning staf when Finning bought Hewden. Stating you should not be in the same game as your customers. They sold up their CATs and bought other brands.

      Pros

      The people at Finning are amazing, and show a lot of pride in the company. Wages and benefits are competitive. Work Life balance is good.

      Cons

      Being a publicly traded company the direction of the company is very unstable; they can switch directions and do a 180 from one quarter to the next. Not a very stable employer, especially if you are not in the Edmonton area where the HO is. Business levels (and employment) vary greatly depending on commodity prices and economic outlook.
