Management is a complete joke. Most of the managers have never been to college which wouldnt be a bad thing if they had gained some skills during their experience but that is definitely not the case. Managers cant spell, dont know their people, do bare minimum and are not driven to do anything. They bring managers back who were originally sent back on bad terms and put them back in place. No efforts are made to recruit good talent. If you have a college degree, stay away for sure because it becomes completely worthless when you work here. If you are not friends with the director or the managers, you dont really stand a chance for advancement. The director believes in a dictator style of leadership. Several people get paid managers salaries to do nothing. Ethically and morally questionable on a lot of different fronts.

Mergers were a complete disaster. All most every successful and respected member of EMCON's management has been fired or forced out of the company through demotion. The same thing happened with a significant portion of the highly skilled Engineering staff. Instead of focusing on systemic issues from the merging of two very different companies, they've chosen to alienate the most talented portion of their employee base and it's resulted in an "us vs. them" mentality. Three years later, many of the same problems still exist.
