Pros

Work Remotely and Friendly Coworkers

Cons

Little to no support from Manager and Supervisor. Poor supervisor communication to team. I'm not sure seems to be the sticks answer. No response to messages or emails until months later if even that. If you do manage to get help with something look out. If told wrong by supervisor he will deny ever helping you. GET EVERYTHING FROM HIM IN WRITING!

Everyone is stressed and burnt out - and management doesn’t care

Pros

Remote work allowed for most positions.

Cons

Everything is focused on in-quarter new revenue at the expense of maintaining existing business. This results in not enough staff, limited budget for new development projects and even limited budget for development to meet contract requirements. All that leads to a very stressful work environment and a lot of burnout. Also, the rules for sales comp payout change year to year so if a large deal spans into the next year, they’ll change the comp plan to screw the account exec out of their fair commission.

Frustrating experience with little prospect for improvement

Pros

Good salary, not fussed about working from office

Cons

FIS makes a big song and dance about improving client experience. Colleagues are being exhorted to better serve clients but are forced to do so with their hands tied behind their backs. Any non-trivial IT solution involves multiple systems and applications. Yet, teams are heavily siloed with only top management able to join the dots. It is not so much that the right hand doesn't know what the left hand is up to - more a case of a many headed monster not knowing where to look. When there is a problem / incident, everyone rushes in to offer opinions - but it is the story of the five blind men and the elephant. No one has the complete picture and the client experience suffers - as a direct consequence of the rigid and siloed structure and top-heavy management. As long as this situation persists - no amount of messaging about the importance of client experience will help. Management is too busy dealing with re-organization, building empires and protecting their fiefdoms. If you are looking for a sense of accomplishment from your job, you should look elsewhere.
