Pros

The friends you meet.....but then eventually leave behind. Clients that do not renew their contracts!

Cons

DYSFUNCTIONAL!!!! The job descriptions are not accurate at all! A BA is responsible for Project Management (including resource management), QA tasks, Tier 2 support, engineering tasks on top of the BA tasks. When you are interviewed/hired you are told you don't need the technical knowledge to do the work, but when you have status meetings with your managers, you are held accountable for not knowing the technical stuff. Then they ding you on your annual review so you end up NOT getting a raise or a raise that's a slap in the face. There is no documentation on how anything works or how anything is supposed to be done. There are no training classes for new employees so you struggle to learn everything. Sr. Management tried to develop training videos for new employees but the videos were created with a person holding an IPHONE and recording the steps on the computer screen. SERIOUSLY FOLKS THIS IS A TECHNOLOGY COMPANY!??!?!? Your timesheet is a gigantic Excel spreadsheet! Managers have no time management skills and project managers have no clue how to manage a project. The expectation is that you complete a 70 hour task in 32 hours. There is no advancement, once you are hired you are stuck there with that title even if you are doing another positions tasks/responsiblities. This is how they end up paying people under market value. Communication between Dept Mangers is non existent and there is no leadership what so ever. There is not ONE happy/satisfied client so you are constantly getting yelled at by them, especially since they are required to pay for everything, even broken stuff that was delievered to them. One client even called us extortionists! So to sum things up, you are overworked, underpaid, constantly fighting internal battles and getting yelled at by clients everyday!

Pros

Frank Martire seems to care about the fis employees. He's approachable and seems to care about the employee experience. Benefits are decent, pay & recognition programs are good. Programs in place for young professionals. As a stock holder I am happy with the way they invest and spend.

Cons

Purchase of Metavante resulted in lots of layoffs. Not many women in upper management or on exec committee.
