Big Multi-National Company...Unorganized and Disaster to Work For

Decent benefits, but not worth staying on for.

Everything. This company is a HUGE conglomerate company, and such is out of touch with every division that it acquires. The level of disorganization is astounding. The computers are out of date (2002), the programs are out of date, everything crashes, nothing works and it takes MONTHS for the IT department to get to you since they have so many departments. This company is the type of company that just buys other, smaller companies and folds them into their wings. This type of company is loaded with middle-managers who do NOTHING and tons of miscommunication problems. The division that I worked for consistently lost clients due to poor communication and ineffective business practices. They may have enough capital to be a Fortune 500, but on the day-to-day...it is a complete joke of a company. I have witnessed first-hand, countless people fall into depression from working here. High turnover, ridiculous bureaucratic red-tape policies. A place for un-achievers and people who just need a "job" for some income.

Not many Good place to get experience to build out the resume. Most people are very nice. If in the right place, you can get good exposure.

Flexible options including working from home in some positions, depending on direct manager typically very flexible to approve time off. Nice vacation and holiday accruals. Competitve pay.

Cons

There is no consistency...you can see it throughout the reviews. Your experience will be dependent on your managers ambition to push things through the dreaded corporate ladder. Management is disconnected from their employees and this causes a lack of appreciation and loyalty even to inviduals who put in extra work. Everything is bottom line focused, needed improvements never get implemented, insurance is less than stellar, and you tend to just be a number expected to work hard with no rewards. Management is always bragging ab9ut the success of the company but yet they hand out 2% annual raises, no promotions, and not even anything for Christmas or the holidays.
