Pros

Retirement Pension, Depending on Facility pay that's worth the work. Some good people stuck in a horrible system. Breaks I guess.

Cons

Overtime because of staffing issues. NATCA is essentially apart if the FAA now. Large amount unhappy about where they are at. Operations at mid level facilities are close to failing. As a CPC doesnt get better. Training and personnel issues will get ignored. So many operational issues go unaddressed. Horrible efficiency in every way for aircraft movement down to personnel issues. Smaller facilities have somewhat of a toxic culture. Pay doesn't scale to traffic load enough. Need a close to $40k-70k increase across the board for all facilities. This place is agency is going down the tubes quick. Bottom line is they will treat you like this is your only option in life. If you are unhappy and need change don't settle.

Pros

Great benefits. Interesting and dynamic work environment.

Cons

Poor work-life balance for controllers. The Agency has been unable to properly staff their air traffic facilities and the employees working mandatory six-day work weeks are tired.
