Pros

Can be challenging and rewarding at times. Don't have to take work home when you leave at the end of the day. Pay is good. Sometimes you even help someone that really needed the help.

Cons

Most of mgmt are inept or barely capable. Supervisors (Front Line Managers) get grief from the controllers and crapped on and no support from Ops Managers. Too many people get promoted to FLM because they're afraid to work traffic. FLMs flip-flop on just about everything depending on which side of the bed they woke up on.

Pros

Federal benefits are great...wish I would have became a federal employee a long time ago instead of a contractor for so many years.

Cons

(At least where I work)...different rules for different people...nothing is standard, depends on who you are if you get to telework, take long lunches, etc... has nothing to do with your position or your work...all depends on who you are
