Pros

It was a great steady job while it lasted. The benefits were good, the work was rewarding, and the pay is really good.

Cons

You are at the mercy of the federal government, when their budget suffers, so does yours.

Pros

This is a well paying job and isn't boring. I enjoy it a lot and have fun when there isn't much air traffic

Cons

Some time the workload rises drastically and sometime the pilots require the more guidance and that puts more stress on the controllers

Pros

The FAA is one of those special agencies that touches many people daily, often without their knowing. The people here are professional; focused on safety; and driven to provide value to the American people. The organization believes in its people and asks us for our best; to provide constant forward looking thinking; and to provide support for the job at hand; Safety in the Air!.

Cons

Working for an organization with such high expectations can take its toll on you. There is never a day when you can just say, "I don't feel like performing at that level today."
