Pros

Pay, benefits, flexibility if your manager wants to accommodate, time off, challenging environment, growth but not necessarily get paid for it.

Cons

Tech ops: Tokenism, emotional labor, microagressions, acting managers hired into full position without competition or able to fill full functions of the role, concept of “managing up” without the pay, career growth limited, minimal flexibility with telework /hybrid.
