      Great Pay, Challenging work

      Pros

      In the past the company was always a step behind in technology. Always waiting for others to try it first, but in the last 4 years, they have been ahead of pack.

      Cons

      Working in a large company does not allow an individual the chance to learn outside of their current job role. While I understand Networking, I lack the skills of other components of the infrastructure. There was always another group that handled those, you only had to worry about your piece of the pie.

      Pros

      Working with smart people is the best benefit. Additionally, the company does not skimp on international cross functional team and traveling to international locations to work with global counterparts is a huge plus. The maternity leave is very generous versus other companies as is the flexibility with unpaid leave and returning part time for a period.

      Cons

      No control / limited over your career as everything is done in secret and new positions can be foisted on you two days before you start them. Work life balance is scoffed at. Paternal leave is non existent and the gap makes female employees using the program look weaker. Moving from DC area to Houston.

      Pros

      Management is avalable, open door policy. Lots of opportunities to learn. Great salary and the best benefit package I had. Lots of resources. Flexible schedule.

      Cons

      Not many promotion opportunities, but if you work hard you can receive interesting offers. Slow paced organization but very consistent.
