Pros

In my life, I have tried to work for about five different staffing agencies. Out of those five, only two actually did anything. One of them was Express Pros in Littleton, Colorado. I was amazed at how quickly Desiree got me working at jobs that I actually wanted to do. I started with the Littleton office in February of 2015. I literally had a job lined up the day after I filled out my paperwork with Express Pros. I thought to myself, "I guess I should have hit these guys up a lot sooner!" Unfortunately, over time, the job proved to not be a good fit for me. I notified Express Pros, and they pulled me from it quickly, per my wishes (after two months). I ended up moving and needed a new job. So I once again contacted Express Pros Littleton, and Desiree had me lined up with an interview immediately (after she had sent my resume over to be considered). Not only was I hired as a temp for the company, but after three months, they "bought me" and made me a full-time, permanent employee of theirs. (It was the right fit!) The speed and consideration that Express Pros Littleton are great "pros" regarding their office, especially for people who are serious about finding work and doing a good job. You will not be unemployed for long if you go through Express Pros Littleton and Desiree and her team.

Cons

The only "cons" I could discern from my time at Express Pros are perhaps these two (which aren't really "cons" at all): 1) You WILL be employed quickly. If you are a slacker or someone else is forcing you to "get a job," then you will have to change your attitude. Otherwise, you will be like some people I have met who show up to a job that Express found for them, make excuses, and then not show up, burning the bridge. So only use Express Pros if you are serious about finding work, because your 24-hour days of video gaming and television will be over! 2) I have estimated that a great majority of jobs through Express Pros are going to be dead-end jobs. By that I mean that your likelihood of growing with a company and advancing with them is rather hit-and-miss, especially in terms of your "dream job." Express Pros has a lot of warehouse, light industrial, and administrative positions available, but not all of them will take you places. So Express Pros is really more about finding you work "now" than "forever" at one place. Of course, there are exceptions to that generalization, such as what I eventually found for myself, though I am working in an industry that I am starting from scratch in. The possibilities are out there, but most of these jobs are ones with either high turn-over, kind of unwanted jobs (low skill, low experience, low education), and/or short-term. My recommendation is to only apply for positions that you will commit to and see where they go. (Of course, all of that is how it is at most temp agencies everywhere.)

Pros

Pay on time. Convenient location

Cons

Very few jobs available. Staff are not interested in you, until they are desperate to fill a one day position. One employer was very verbally abusive because of a bad experience from previous temp and took it out on me. Poor quality of employers. Out of work for nearly three weeks and counting.

Pros

I did not work for this company long enough to find a positive (Pro) point. They were nice when I was a candidate for the position but rude and nasty when I did not benefit them.

Cons

When I first signed with them to help me find a job the lady was very friendly and helpful. We even talked about our children and had a few laughs. She arranged for me to interview with a company. I was very excited about the possibility of working for this company and literally waited by the phone for 2 days for a response. (They were suppose to make their decision quickly) I finally made a call to Express to see if they had heard from the company. The lady was now very rude and short and just stated she didn't have time to call me but the company declined. I am not upset that I didn't get the job. Evidently it wasn't the right one. My issue is the fact that while I am unemployed desperately seeking a job Express didn't have the common courtesy to call me back. This is people's livelihood they are messing with. They are a placement agency. It seems like they will work with you as long as a company hires you. If not they won't even waist their time calling you to tell you it didn't get the job. My bet is that she would have called me back right away if I had gotten the position. I didn't appreciate the attitude of "you're not worth" after she found out I was not accepted for the position. Very unprofessional. Maybe they get a bonus for people that are hired on by them.
