Commission is a joke

Pros

Great office location surrounded by other agencies which would bring in walk in....of course only for general labor roles

Cons

micro management from the Owner and favoritism toward some employee's. Too many meeting about nothings, no room for growth, commission is not worth while. If you are making 20K in weekly 80K per month the average commission would be about $1500.00 which doesn't seem at all fair with a base salary of 50K. One will never be able to achieve six figures. Lots of promises broken

Not consistent

Pros

Unlike most temp agencies Express offers PTO, paid holidays, vacation, and benefits.

Cons

While some people are always on assignment I personally was out of work more than I worked. And when I got hurt they rushed getting me assigned somewhere new, and then worked me just long enough to stop any workman's comp claim.

The worst experience with a temp agency. AVOID.

Pros

None. Other temp agencies have done better in every way.

Cons

First of all, I had to basically harass the lady assigned to me to get a job below what I was asking for. Then, when I voiced my dissatisfaction with the job a few weeks in, they kept me there for three more months, telling me to not reach out anywhere else as I followed up each subsequent week because I am, "such a good candidate"... But what happened yesterday took the cake. I picked up my paycheck and saw that it was about $50 short. I inquired with the receptionist about it, and she informed me that I had been paid 40 hours, when I should have been paid 37.5... So, they had been paying my lunches, and since I signed on as a full-time employee I never thought that 9-5 was not 40 hours. To remedy their error, which I had now brought to THEIR attention, they informed me that the extra $50 a week I had been getting would be taken out of my next paycheck. I need to pay rent, and now I can't because of these guys. Do yourself a favor, and pick another temp agency in the area with more consistency. You can throw a rock in Marin and hit a dozen.
