Pros

The current line-level staff is comprised of hard working, well educated, down to earth individuals

Cons

Lack of strong leadership and direction Constant change that results in senior leaders reusing methods that have already been proven to provide negative results No opportunities for career development Business operates in survival mode, rather than innovative mode No training provided to US employees

Pros

Many of the coworkers are wonderful people. Pay is adequate, but nothing to brag about. Offices are nice. Hours aren't bad. On a day in day out basis, it's not a bad place to work. Advancement and job security are more about if you are "in" politically than if you do a good job.

Cons

Management is very bad, in all divisions. They keep people that are average to poor performers. Then let the best people walk out the door or they drive them away. In one instance, a young inexperienced "buddy" of a division president got put over a work group when he had no prior experience in leading or managing people. In 9 months, he drove away an experienced director who was one of the smartest people I'd met in the whole company, one of the best managers at Experian and always an over performer. And Experian's senior management let it happen ... even though just 2 months later they fired that division president. That's classic Experian. Lose good people rather than address bad management and bad leadership. Experian also only knows how to lay people off or ship jobs overseas. They have no clue how to manage through bad times. It seems it manages only so that executive management gets its bonuses - regardless of the long term consequences to the health of the business.

Pros

Global company with possible overseas opportunities. Bonus plan is fair (if entire company meets the goals.) Benefits are industry average. If you are loyal, they will be loyal too. Company has many divisions and opportunities within, if given the chance.

Cons

Senior Management micromanages too much, company is always reactive instead of proactive, going public was the worst thing that ever happened to the company. Company has extremely high turnover rate, many employees work overtime without being compensated. Senior management does not communicate down well and is often trying to change course without any real thought.
