Pros

Work-life balance is about right, and surprisingly good for a FTSE 100 company. Board-level and senior management have done a good job repositioning a company that could have been "killed" by the global credit crunch.

Cons

Focus is focused too much on the short-term, down to meeting monthly targets. Impressed with senior management and rank-and-file, but middle management leave much to be desired. Feels like a federation of companies, rather than one entity.

Pros

Compensation. Can help your CV due to some reputation and well known company. Opportunities to move to different divisions exist if you perform well. Well balanced profitable business when it comes to its business model in the current times. Good products.

Cons

Poor management. No clear business strategy with so many businesses under each division, which sometimes overlap. They have not properly restructured, or do it just thinking in the short term in order to hit numbers. I survived recent redundancies but the process was dreadful and have a very poor manager. Good products, but very poor marketing and very disjointed message for clients.
