Pros

Support for professional development, opportunities to advance within or between client teams, traveling for work, good work/life balance with hybrid work schedule (only 2 days in office per week, typically)

Cons

Inconsistent policies and work cultures between client teams - each client team is its own mini organization, so people's work experience can vary significantly by the team they are on. Health insurance is on a calendar year while other benefits (like FSA/HSA) are on more of a fiscal year, which unnecessarily causes extra out-of-pocket healthcare expenses between Jan-June.

Pros

EDI employs staff to work directly with medical/research non-profits, giving employees the incredible opportunity to help its clients realize their vision. Culture is very supportive - EDI supports professional development and membership in related organizations for its employees to help them continually grow and say on top of trends. They provide pathways for staff to be promoted and grow within the company. They offer a variety of opportunities from meetings logistics to committee management to meeting planning to medical writing and more. I've worked there for over 15 years and have had an incredible experience with the company as well as with the volunteers we serve.

Cons

No cons currently. Over the last 15+ years that I've been here, EDI has worked hard to support employees and respond to suggestions for improvement. For example, most positions are able to work remotely up to 3 days a week. EDI is also continuously updating technologies and systems to allow staff to efficiently do their work.
