Cons

They lied to me about the reason I was let go and they reported to the employment office that I was fired for performance reasons. However, they had no documentation of any performance issues, I only ever got compliments on the job. This appears to be an obvious ploy to deny unemployment, but I recorded my phone conversations with them and was able to prove to the unemployment office that I was never informed and was told differently even after my contact was cancelled in a reorg. So the unemployment office sided with me, but now I have eight months of contract work that are a resume stain. It is not worth taking a job here no matter what. Note that I am a caretaker for a family member who has terminal cancer and I was upfront about not being able to always bill 40 hours a week due to caretaker needs. They had no objection to that and I got explicit approval for all flex-time I needed.
