Pros

- Great people to work with - Generally people are there to help and want the best for you - Potential for making lots of money* - Hybrid Work Environment

Cons

- Success has a lot to do with what accounts management assign you. - Base salary is very low, and drops even lower when you actually decide to see your commission and go off of the 50k base. Drops to 35. - Variables that are outside of your and Apex's control often cause large losses in commission overnight and you're back on the hamster wheel - Office management can't approve giving higher base salary, as corporate controls that.

Pros

This is my first contracting job so I really have nothing to compare Apex Systems to. I think in the beginning when gathering information of employment and all of the necessary documents I needed to get started, my point of contact at Apex was very thorough.

Cons

Not the best benefits for women. I was barely pregnant when I first started and didn't qualify for short term disability/maternity leave because my pregnancy was a "pre-existing condition." I think in 2022 we know how horrible maternity leave is for families in the US. They need to step it up. Also, I had to get a letter from OB to prove that I was pregnant when I went on leave. I guess people fake being pregnant lol. Anyway, luckily my male partner makes just enough for us to survive. I really don't know how a single parent or a family without a decent salary that needs maternity leave would survive contracting for this company. Also, no one ever informs me of when my contract is ending or being extended.

Pros

The pay rate was reasonable, but no pay for holidays etc.

Cons

They failed to pay health insurance premiums deducted from payroll. I am stuck with hospital bills from a sever injury. They failed to pay Aetna health insurance four times in 2021 alone. Coverage lapses ranged from a week to several weeks.

Hi! Thank you for your input. When deductions are taken from the employee’s pay check they are automatically sent to Aetna. If it is a week that the employee misses a pay check due to not working a particular week, they can make a missed premium payment directly to Aetna to continue their coverage. It sounds like you may have some unresolved claims issues with Aetna, please feel free to email benefits@apexsystems.com and they will try to get your claims issues resolved. Thank you!
