Pros

I think the best part is to know the other expert in telecommunication fields, share knowledge among them. Off course, working for such big company can make our resume more "pretty". The colleagues there are quite open and willing to share knowledge and help each other. The company develop high tech telecoms devices and we can participate in this field.

Cons

Unfortunately, as a non German working in Ericsson Germany could be hard, since it is quite clear for the us that they only want to recruit German employees, and even they recruit non German, it must be female. In order to make the company more multi-cultural and more international they recruit foreign part time student. Full time employees are always German (98%).

Pros

One of the best companies in Telecom industry; strategies made by the company are really good; working environment and culture is quite nice toward all employees. Have chance to learn lots of up-to-date technologies, access to tons of good documents.

Cons

Too many people stay within the company for too long, not very active, competence not up-to-date, still try to live in good old dates back in 90s, and probably you will become one of them very soon; Company is changing, lots of things are unclear, sometimes, many people work hard to make things happend but pull in different directions; Too many processes;

Pros

International opportunities are enormous and if you are a talent, you will be targeted. The global presence and the dynamics is really the good side of it. You'll meet a lot of interesting people (mostly senior these days), which can support your career progression if they/you're up for it.

Cons

Engineering culture. Some departments are quite slow, avoid these. Everything is process focused and structured, especially in the back end (product management, sourcing, supply) which is advantageous for some, but inhibits creativity for others. The three business units are quite different though. A lot of gray-haired managers. Experience is what counts.
