Lots of opportunity for working on diverse systems for a wide variety of customers. Independent work environment is supported and encouraged.

Cons

Very impersonal work environment is encouraged.. No sense of belonging as a valued employee. Work-spaces are treated as temporary. Encourage employees to keep personal items in a locked roll-away when not present in the office. Treated strictly like a resource that can be replaced by anyone else.

Pros

Ericsson has an un-relenting focus on customers which ensures strong market share. Ericsson is an ethical, well balanced, and generally very positive workplace culture with pervasive company values which you can see worldwide. Ericsson, despite its' considerable maturity in the field continues to be commercially and technically innovative.

Cons

Like many large companies, internal power politics can sometimes end up standing in the way of implementing a true performance culture. Ericsson swings ambivalently between local customer oriented management control and centralized product oriented management control which misses out sometimes on the advantages of a more globally distributed and aligned operating model.

They pay competitively compared to other similar companies for Intern positions. They have a very relaxed work environment. Gain hands-on knowledge.

Cons

There isn't much of a downside to this company unless you are looking at the compensation for full time employees.
