Pros

Great benefits and some amazing people. Working on a campus provides nice amenities.

Cons

Management and executive leadership do not reflect the diversity of the people they're leading; if you aren't in with the right people, you have no hope of moving forward. Misogyny and racism, while hopefully accidental, are not addressed appropriately. The appearance of inappropriate relationships between leadership and staff occurs often and is not addressed. There is lip service paid to diversity and inclusion in North America, but there seems to be a disconnect from HQ in Plano to the Overland Park office. Managers make jokes about people they've laid off, and disparage employees in front of other employees. I have noticed, reading through these reviews, that Ericsson responds nicely to the positive reviews. A response to a negative review, any of the reviews that have brought up negative experiences, would show potential and current employees that Ericsson does care about their employees and wants to ensure a safe, healthy, productive, and positive environment for them all.

Pros

Moderately good environment, opportunity to learn and grow is good, some intermediate training is available if you don't mind doing it all on your own time, open hotel style office is challenging at first, but then you get to like the uncluttered environment, you have a place to sit or stand, a 5' desktop that goes up and down to your liking, your Laptop, softphone, and decent WiFi, what more do you really need? Loss of the gym was from old site did cause some issues and loss of time.

Cons

Local Ericsson executive tended to take the disparaging word about staff from customers, over talking to staff and finding out what the real problems were and verifying that any statements made were indeed even true, valid or deserved. As existing staff were being laid off, more lower cost remote workers (paid in their own countries to avoid extra costs) were temporarily brought in to try to fulfil contracts. This practice needs to be reviewed by our government and policy makers.
