      Pros

      Good brand name, customers wish them well and want them to be around. 140 years old company and so says something about riding tough times.

      Cons

      - Way too many - Old guard will make your life very difficult - They hire senior people and would not know what to do with them after that. - Playing with careers of leaders hired from market - You need to be master of Playing politics to survive in this company - No room for meritocracy, politics is supreme - Complete denial of cultural issues and so company may not survive - Product quality and road map has become an issue now. Company has a portfolio issue and hence is losing in the market

      Smart and dedicated engineers as colleagues, good work-life balance, transparency in sharing technical know-how, very good benefits (for a non-Internet company).

      Cons

      Ericsson is no longer a wireless technology leader - the Asian vendors have caught up and in many instances overtaken E///. The next two years will be painful as 5G money won't start coming in until 2019. All major decisions are taken in Stockholm by Swedes, limited career prospects at a remote site. Compensation is below par for the Bay Area. Media division is next on the chopping block. Morale diminishing after every quarterly report.
