Pros

Equifax is an outstanding employer. Beyond the robust employee benefits, the comprehensive training, knowledge, and experience gained significantly enhances our ability to effectively manage customer calls and emails while also providing valuable skills applicable to our personal lives.

Cons

While the knowledge and experience gained at Equifax are invaluable, there is an opportunity to significantly improve the onboarding experience for new hires. I recommend restructuring the employee training program to be more organized and modular so that New employees will feel better equipped and more self-sufficient when they transition to taking live customer calls and handling emails.

Toxic management culture, poor compensation, and no job stability

Pros

- A lot of diverse projects to work on - Good perks and benefits for employees

Cons

Promotions are based solely on how long someone has been at the company, with no consideration for leadership skills or actual performance. This results in micromanagement, poor team environments, bad decisions, and constant employee turnover. Upper management holds outdated views — they still think remote work is bad. While they claim to offer a hybrid model, it comes with excessive restrictions. Missing an in-office day for any reason can lead to penalties, and accumulating several can even put your job at risk. Workload is excessive, and there’s absolutely no work-life balance, despite the company constantly promoting it as one of their “core values.” Employees are expected to handle unrealistic deadlines and frequent emergencies outside of normal working hours. Job stability is low — I witnessed multiple rounds of layoffs during my time there. Compensation is well below market standards, raises are minimal, and promotions are rare. Only when you hand in a resignation letter do they start making an effort to retain you.
