Pros

The people were great and I met some fantastic coworkers

Cons

Working as a research analyst you have to be prepared to avoid the truth and lie to several companies you call explaining that you are conducting a "research project" so you require the information needed from that individual. If you do not however fulfill your quota in the pace they want, they have no issues letting you go. I've seen many people get laid off from those who've been there a long time, to someone who was only there just a couple of days. You are constantly told that you are not paid to have fun, and that you are there to work. Which can dampen the lives of a lot of your employees if they feel like they cant have fun, and they're coming into to work to just make money for the company. I feel like there is hardly any room for promotions and they'll work you to death until they no longer need you or you're simply not useful to them anymore.

We're sorry that you didn't have a great experience on the research team, but trust us, we REALLY VALUE our researchers! Don't take our word for it. We prove it and live it every day. That's why we increased the compensation for researchers 58% ... yes 58% ... over 15 months in 2015-2016. That's why researchers have more PTO than ever now, and why they now also have paid sick days. We value our researchers so much, we've literally promoted them to EVERY department in the company. Just ask our VP of Sales. He started in Research. Ask our VP of Operations. She started in research. Ask our Senior Vice President of Research. He started in research. The head of customer support? Yep, he started in research. The lead on customer marketing? She started in research too. We literally have former researchers in every department of the company, from accounting and HR to learning & development, sales, marketing, and customer success.

Pros

ZoomInfo has an incredible company culture that truly stands out-- even working remotely, you feel connected and part of something bigger. The company has a strong focus on being a leader in its space and is constantly innovating, which keeps the work exciting and meaningful. There is a genuine willingness to let ideas and concepts flourish, and employees are empowered to contribute in real ways. I am coming up on four years here, which speaks for itself-- this is a place where you can grow, get promoted quickly, and build a real career. The development resources are outstanding, including McKinsey Leadership programs, internal leadership courses, and LinkedIn Learning. Managers are supportive and invested in your success which makes showing up to work exciting

Cons

At times, communication between departments can be a challenge at the individual contributor level, which can make cross-functional collaboration feel a bit siloed. Additionally, there is still work to be done around diversity in leadership-- increasing representation of people of color and women in leadership roles would make an already great culture even stronger.

Pros

Great management in the CS org. Very little micromanagement, and lets you do your job as you see fit. Promotes work life balance and tend to be real people. Collaborative teams, usually willing to help each other out wherever needed. Good room for growth if you are performing well and are vocal about wanting to move up.

Cons

Salary could be higher for the market, and for how many products you are expected to work with and specialize in. Communication from marketing and leadership directly to clients could be more effectively communicated to the client facing roles prior to reaching the client.
