Pros
I think Zoo is a good company in providing employees a sense of belongingness. And to many people, that is very important and rare. With the current team I’m on, you definitely get a lot of help and a lot of people are also willing to help you. As a company, Zoo provides fun activities such as events, parties, sports activities, even paid time off for charities, etc. You also get very understanding supervisors where they check on you periodically, and sometimes that’s all you really need, which is to have your voice heard. I believe Zoo is heading towards the right direction in terms of how to manage people and how to make people want to work for them. The management team is also ambitious in taking steps to globalize and to expand. I’d say my time here has been pretty positive and I could see myself working here long term if possible.
Cons
I think there’s only one downside that I’ve seen so far though it isn’t about Zoo as a company. I feel the communications between departments can definitely use some improvement. You can send an email to a person from another department to request for something or to confirm something but never get a response so sometimes you have to go out of your way to find the information when it should really be provided in the first place. I get that people are busy, but communication is key. There’s no shame in making mistakes because we are human. However, it is also our responsibility to pick up our own slack.
