Pros

Flexible work from home policy. Free lunch every Wednesday and Friday. Pretty good benefits (22 days annual leave + 6 days personal care leave)

Cons

Incoherent management. Mid-level managers (i.e. the boss' boss) micromanaging, and don't listen to technical experts who know their stuff. Dysfunctional HR - no formal exit interview after resignation. Mis-hiring of discipline leads/senior positions. No peer review for data science projects. General perception of unfairness in compensation package distribution (expats earning considerably more than locals while having significantly less relevant experience, academic credentials and technical skills). Frequent use of profanity in a professional setting to a point where it can be considered very offensive.

Pros

Competitive pay and benefits, decent work/life balance (depends on your role), established and well regarded products.

Cons

They hire excellent people on the ground, but DEI hires in C-suite managmeent are bad. Toxic, narcissistic "leaders" are promoted based on gender instead of aptitude, and cancerous individuals are slow to be removed because of the emphasis on DEI. Yara used to be and could be a great place to work again, but they need to get rid of the problem people to get there.
