Pros
• Excellent food in the cafeteria • Minimal partiality between off-roll and on-roll employees — both groups are treated with respect Two senior leaders in the Finance team are genuinely excellent — supportive, fair, and invested in their people. Working under them was the highlight of my time here. • Decent learning opportunities for those who are proactive.
Cons
Micromanagement is a real issue in the Finance team. Managers monitor desk presence very closely — stepping away for even two minutes can trigger a call asking where you are, including during washroom breaks. It creates a tense environment and signals a lack of trust. • Internal politics and favouritism are visible. Career progression often depends more on who you align with than on the quality of your work. A few self-styled "decision makers" in Finance prioritise personal relationships over what's best for the company. • The HR team's support for off-roll employees is poor. After I left, my PF deposit was delayed by a month before the full tenure amount was finally credited — that kind of basic compliance shouldn't require chasing. • HR leadership is largely absent from real employee concerns; visibility is limited to casual interactions rather than addressing systemic issues.
