Pros

Very few - if any. I guess meeting nice patients and clients are the only benefits of working with Almost Family.

Cons

Scheduling office does not give appropriate information on cases; often calls last minute. Some employees work over 100 hours on cases, which, in my opinion, jeopardizes the services and care of those in the care of those employees. I am a licensed nurse, but they keep calling me for CNA work instead. Often, it's obvious no one from Almost Family has been out to do an initial visit or assessment on a case, because scheduling is too unfamiliar with the facts of the case and the care needed. Employees often show up and are surprised by what they're encountering on a case. You have to pay for your own CEU's, license renewal, etc. and there are NO benefits available for someone who works as a nurse. If you do work in excess of 40 hours, they do not pay overtime. I'm still not certain why this isn't a violation of state and federal labor laws. It appears that only the office staff get benefits, overtime, bonuses, and other fringe benefits.
