Salary is low at executive levels. Efforts are recognised but not rewarded at the right time. If a person has worked effortlessly in the last six months why wait for the next appraisal cycle. There is absence of mechanism for timely recognition. Secondly, a person who is excellent at the process does not necessarily have managerial qualities. If you promote an executive to a managerial level please ensure that he goes through sufficient training and develops basic skills like managing common team scenarios and yes communication. Thirdly; whenever there is any change in management, process, kpis, or any decision to be conveyed, please ensure it is communicated with enough reasoning and justification.
