Pros

The Bank is a wonderful experience for anyone interested in becoming a real global professional. You interact with staff, clients and partners from ALL OVER the world on a daily basis. Compensation is fair and travel policy very generous. There are outstanding leaders who are also reference in their areas of expertise, and who genuinely espouse the Bank's mission and purpose.

Cons

HR's decision to only hire on term contract, in most cases for 2-3 years, makes relocation a tough decision, especially considering that staff are granted a G4 visa which requires that they leave the United States within 90 days upon contract end. This is probably the main reason why politics are so ingrained, and conflict is managed so poorly, ultimately, resulting in that ethical issues be managed behind closed doors, and that decision making churns at cost of effectiveness.
