The questions have gotten extremely difficult, unrealistic, and obscure. They're supposed to take 2 or 3 hours, but they take much longer because clients take advantage and submit questions with multiple parts. There's no way you could make $10 an hour. Maybe once in a while, but not consistently. I've been working for almost 8 months, so it's not like I'm just getting the hang of it. Things have changed A LOT. Questions used to be really general back then and I don't mind that they've gotten much more business focused, but lately they’ve been ridiculous.
Also, pay has gone up for new researchers but down for experienced ones, which is really discouraging and has caused a lot of seasoned researchers to quit. I’m not sure if this is intentional and they’re trying to constantly get researchers who will work for less, but that’s why I’m rating it lower than I would have a few months ago.
Finally, clients need to understand that they are paying for RESEARCH. Although I would say most people have college degrees, Wonder is not a replacement for an analyst and researchers can’t predict the future. Some clients simply refuse to accept that some information doesn’t exist or their request is too niche for Wonder to answer.
