Pros

A port in a storm if you absolutely need a job, but would definately not recommend it as a long term situation.

Cons

People were abandoning ship there when I first started due to a local competitor having new job openings. Nite shifts are not compensated with shift differential. Holidays are not compensated with holiday pay. Employees spread extremely thin, an absentee can be disastrous for other employees. One individual with extremely disruptive personality disorders went completely unrestrained, even to the point of making physical threats, eventually I took him to mgnt & hr, whom did nothing, whereas in any other environment, this individual would heve been terminated. This situation exists because they can't find or keep professional people. People have been known to walk out within 1 week of employment after experiencing the chaotic, unprofessional environment. Replacement mgr that came in made the situation worse by micromanaging & treating remaining employees as subordinates, not professionals. At the time of my departure, all mentioned conditions continued to exist.

Pros

Positive and supporting work culture where employees feel valued and respected. Team environment is very friendly and colleagues are always willing to help each other, which creates a collaborative atmosphere.

Cons

I would not 100% consider it as cons as its common thru most MNC's. But opportunities for fast career progression can vary depending on the project or team.

Pros

There are no pros to working for Wipro.

Cons

This company is a sh** show. There are too many managers and less and less people to do the actual work. They have people that negotiate contracts and then expect the company to make money. In reality, most of the time the contract is basically giving the house away. It is the employees that suffer. When the contracts go south, they cut more people. Those people are then screwed over. Be warned!! If your position ends on the 25th of the month, your health insurance also ends on the 25th of the month. Note that the premium you paid, is not pro-rated, justifying the end of coverage on the 25th. You still pay the usual premium, which should then have your coverage run through the end of the month. If they can destroy a person, they will. They want more and more and more from their employees. While they preach all this mental health, work life balance, it's a sham. They have no regard for the well being of the employee, which carries over to the employee's family.
