Pros
Like everything, the advantages and disadvantages depend greatly on the team you're part of. In my experience, I can say that for 90% of my time with the organization, and consequently within the team I was in, I was always treated with respect, had the freedom to express opinions and contribute ideas, and worked in a positive environment. Unfortunately, during the remaining 10%, a restructuring occurred, and I moved to a different team, reporting to Mexico. That leadership team left much to be desired. As with any company, there are, regrettably, good and not-so-good people/teams, just as there are truly professional individuals and those who are less so.
Cons
As for the disadvantages, I experienced a lot of disorganization, changes, not-so-clear objectives, a heavy structure with little ability to move and support the needs of the markets. Salaries were not sufficient, and structural decisions were always postponed. All of this, after almost 8 years, turned into immense frustration and the feeling of "wasted time" in a person's professional life.
