Leader of technology group has created a double standard - if you're in the "in crowd", you will be encouraged regardless of how badly you perform. Likewise, if you're not in the "in crowd", you will be discouraged no matter how well you perform. Lots of time spent on creating a fun culture, with almost no focus on delivery.
