Pros

Walmart has endless career opportunities, there are no limits. I think they have a pretty good benefits package, along with the 401K and stock purchase plan. There are countless discounts available to associates on the walmartbenefits.com website. I went to college, obtained a degree and ended up not leaving because of my pay/benefits.

Cons

No vision insurance, very strict leave policy now, dealing with the public (they aren't ALWAYS right). Constant change of policies, some confusion among associates. Pay caps--no raise for the past 2 years.

Pros

Advancement opportunities, great at developing skills, great place to learn a skill and grow your resume, or grow with the company.

Cons

Understaffing issues negatively affects all parts of their business. However, Walmart has increased their minimum hourly rate with hopes to attract more committed employees, and retain better employees.
