Pros

*Some really great people work there *Diversity *Corporate philosophy sounds good on paper *Big budgets *Nice cafeteria and snacks *Easy to keep track of the (sales) seasons

Cons

*Image is everything. *Mid-level managers are in a dog-fight for their survival, so everything is a competition. *Job title inflation is rampant (this might be a "Pro") *It's not what you know, it's who you know *If you have a bad manager, you are completely at their whim. Upper management is too busy with their own survival. HR is too busy protecting the corporation. *Financial tools are standard, out of the box, and therefore useless. *Customization is not allowed by Corporate, creating crushing manual workload * Upper managers call meetings at 7pm on Fridays to the detriment of everyone else's work-life balance *7 Holidays a year. No 401K option for the first year. Ridiculously high insurance out-of-pocket levels. *Toxic environment

Pros

Advancement opportunities, great at developing skills, great place to learn a skill and grow your resume, or grow with the company.

Cons

Understaffing issues negatively affects all parts of their business. However, Walmart has increased their minimum hourly rate with hopes to attract more committed employees, and retain better employees.
